As a member of the Prince’s Trust Cymru Development Committee, I had the great honour of meeting our President HRH, The Prince of Wales last week in Clarence House.
Amongst the Prince’s many charities, the Prince’s Trust needs to raise £40million each year nationally and needs £3m here in Wales.
The Prince’s Trust helps 18-30 year olds who are unemployed, educational under-achievers, in or leaving care or ex offenders, to start their own business and last year we helped over 3000 young people in Wales!
Various chairmen of the Prince’s Trust’s National Committees and Industry Leader Groups were present and I enjoyed some time talking with well-known designer, Jeff Banks, who helped the Trust recently when we ran a successful fashion event here in Cardiff.
We were served a traditional tea with appropriately cut sandwiches (cucumber of course!) and enjoyed talking with the Prince who is genuinely grateful for all the work we are doing in Wales for young people.
A very memorable afternoon for us all!
